Peiner has manufactured and sold more than 75,000 units for the worldwide market. Peiner's unique grabs could deal with a wide range of materials and products like cement, iron ores, coke, fertilizers, refuse and scrap. Our many years of experience in the overall designing process and in manufacturing high quality products helps to enable our customers receive the proven technology their various applications require.

Within the United States marketplace, SMAG/Peiner has been represented by Peiner USA, Inc. Various businesses such as Waste to Energy, Scrap handling, Steel Mills, Bulk Transfer Facilities as well as many other material handling facilities are currently relying on our buckets and grabs to get their jobs done.

The design philosophy at Peiner has continually revolved around delivering grabs that handle the largest volume of material vs. grab dead weight. The standard handling ratio for Peiner grabs and buckets is approximately 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent versus grab dead weight of 40 percent. This translates into transporting greater quantities of materials quicker. The wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related parts is less. Through a combination of manufacturing with high quality materials and innovative design, the required weight ratio is obtained.

Grab sizes would range from 1 cubic yard or less to more than 50 cubic yards in order to meet the requirements of the customer. Furthermore, Peiner USA Inc. offers a complete service facility and spare parts facility for the units sold within the USA, along with the addition of brand new buckets and grabs.
