What is the Difference between Cushion Tire and Pneumatic Tire?

Amongst the most popular questions regarding this type of machinery is knowing the difference between cushion tire forklifts and pneumatic tire forklifts. Each and every kind of tire is specifically right for various needs.

Like vehicle tires, pneumatic tires have air in them. These types of tires are suitable for indoor usage but they are most useful on uneven and gravel surfaces and in outdoor "yard" applications.

Cushion tires are designed as a solid industrial tire which is used mainly for indoor applications. These tires can be used outdoors on just asphalt surfaces. If you do drive cushion tires outside, there is an option to get traction tires on the front of the equipment. These are called the drive tires. The back tires or the steer tires are specifically made for steering. Traction tires situated on the back of the forklift will simply wear out quicker. Therefore, if you do need to work outside, having the smooth tires on the rear and traction on the front would be the most economical and safest way to operate.

What is the difference between Air Pneumatic and Solid Pneumatic tires?

It can be quite tricky when trying to know the main distinction between the two kinds of tires. They would operate well in both in gravel and asphalt situations. The main difference between the two tire types is solid pneumatics are made of solid rubber. This means they are durable and you cannot pop, gouge and puncture them. These kinds of tires are more costly compared to air pneumatic tires since they are made up of way more rubber. These tires are best suited for locations such as lumber yards and scrap yards where there can be lots of sharp things and debris on the ground.

The pneumatic tire can be punctured accidentally. You can get flat tires from them when this occurs. Before using a forklift with air pneumatic tires, check your work space and be sure that the yard is free of debris, sharp metals and nails. In the majority of applications, standard air pneumatic tires function really great.
