JLG provides the 600 Series of articulating booms. These units feature an optional narrow chassis to access tight places. The 600 Series showcases the industry's best work envelope; 8.1 m or 26 feet, 7 inches up and over height and a horizontal outreach of 39 feet, 9 inches or 12.12 m. These machinery provide dual rated capacities of 1000 pounds and 500 pounds too. Combined with a 60 foot platform height, these units will offer you with the reach capacity and the strength you require regardless of what job has to be done.



To give you excellent performance and drive on rough terrain, these articulating booms are available with optional 4-wheel drive and standard oscillating axles. Offering unmatched agility and confined areas, are the 3-position switch and optional 4-wheel steer. The platform controls are improved and have been redesigned in order to be smoother for job site productivity and offer more controlled operation.



Raising Safety Standards for Aircraft Maintenance

Ideal for working on any size of aircraft, the Model 740AJ provides 74 feet or 22.6 m of height and over 15 m or 51 feet of outreach. It has numerous safety features that you need when performing maintenance. The Fall Arrest platform could be included so as to allow you to exit the platform and move a complete 270 degrees around the platform in a radius of 6 feet, and still have fall protection whilst doing so.



The Soft Touch System is another optional features that would help to lessen any damage to the equipment or risk of any accidental contact during aircraft maintenance. This optional package offers a suspended padded rail which surrounds the platform basket. There are proximity sensors which de-activate platform movement functions and if the basket comes too near the aircraft surface, the operator is alerted.



Benefits

The articulating jib enables for more access and accurate positioning to all external surfaces on any kind of aircraft. This specific jib can be used in both controlled and uncontrolled areas thanks to steady winds, 90 mph gusts and jet blast standards of 80 mph. An optional on-board air compressor allows the use of pneumatic-powered hand tools. The Fall Arrest adds safety when performing maintenance outside of the platform.
