Case had established themselves in the construction machine industry by 1912. They became a producer of road building machines including steam rollers and road graders. Case grew their construction machine company through different acquisitions, beginning with the American Tractor Corporation during the year 1957. Case had expanded their business by the middle part of the 1990s to become the leading maker of light-sized to medium-sized construction machines.
Case merged with the corporation New Holland during the year 1999 and together they became CNH Global. This company became responsible for advertising several of the world's top brands of construction and agricultural machines.
