Jungheinrich LP Forklift Fort Worth

Lift trucks are essential pieces of machines utilized widely in business, particularly in warehouses, distribution centers, storage handling and industrial facilities. A forklift truck is made of hundreds of components, including the cab, the carriage, the power source, the wheels and the engine. Lift trucks usually have a variety of attachments also. The following are several of the most important lift truck parts.

Engine of the Forklift - At the back of the machinery, the lift truck has its power source. The different kinds of engine on the forklift will require varying power sources. Like for example, a lift truck with an internal combustion engine could have as its power source any of the following: LP gas, CNG gas, gasoline or diesel. Electric motor lift trucks receive their power from fuel cells or a battery.

Truck Frame - the base of the forklift truck and the most essential of all the forklift components is the frame of the truck. This forms the equipment's core. All other lift truck parts are attached to the base, like the counterweight, overhead guard, axles, mast and wheels. Fuel and hydraulic fluid tanks may also be part of the frame assembly.

Counterweight Forklift Parts - While lifting heavy cargo, the counterweight allows the equipment to be balanced. This particular part is cast iron and comes connected to the back of the forklift. The counterbalance balances the frame of the truck to prevent it from tipping over when a load is being carried or lifted on the front. The heavy lead-acid battery in an electric forklift offers balance and can work as part of the counterweight.

The Cab Area - The cab is also referred to as the operator compartment. Lift trucks will sometimes have closed cabs whilst others would be open to the air. There are lots of components located in the cab for operating the forks. The cab contains such essential components like for example the seats, pedals, switches, levers, operator controls and steering wheel. The dashboard contains operator readouts.
