Narrow Aisle Forklift
A narrow aisle forklift is designed for lowering and lifting loaded pallets from high storage spaces. This particular kind is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, such as retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires that make maneuvering really simple.
Usually, the operator of this specific kind of forklift stands up within a small cockpit. The stand-up design allows the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This configuration allows for easy and fast maneuvering. There are some versions of these forklifts which come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment is capable of pivoting to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the whole machine. The sit-down version normally has four wheels.
Many narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Electric-powered machines are quiet and do not produce exhaust fumes, making them the preferred option for closed places like for instance retail spaces. Some lifts come with a diesel engine or a gas engine. However, the diesel version is not suggested to be used indoors since it could produce exhaust and be quite noisy.
